Perfectly decent case but the diagram instructions for making it stand up are hopeless. I eventually discovered it works in portrait by holding the tablet upright (camera aperture at the top), then gently pulling the bottom triangular flap (the one with 'Amazon' written on it) away from the back of the tablet. In landscape, put camera aperture bottom right and pull the flap with 'Amazon' on it gently away from the back of the tablet. Hope that helps anyone who's struggling.

Nice vibrant colour. Easy to insert Kindle. Took me a few goes to work out how to bend the magnetic frame to get it to work as a stand but its quite stable.

Only downside is the fabric. It's not really practical for being toted around in my handbag all day. After a few days the yellow fabric started looking grubby and its not very receptive to spot cleaning. Its even frayed a bit at the edges.

If I'd taken more time to explore other covers, I would have gone for leather.

Fantastic case. Light weight and a strong magnetic front which turns off the screen automatically when closed. I chose blue, it is a really nice vibrant blue and blends perfectly with the blue Fire 8 tablet. Material isn't as grippy as expected but feels nice and durable. Excellent product but it is an overpriced case at £22.50 in my opinion however this is the official case and performs well. The folding corner is also a nice touch and feels more book like upon opening the cover.

I always but Amazon cases for my tablet and this one for for doesn't disappoint for fit and style
I only got today to fit my new tablet
I was surprised to find that it if fabric covered, I expected it to be the usual wipe clean finish. Although it's very stylish I'm a bit worried about the durability of the case . I bought canary yellow to match my tablet and I'm concerned about marks and stains
The jury is out at the moment but for £22 I hope it keeps it looks
6 months later it certainly hasn't kept it looks , in fact it's very shabby looking the plastic trim has come off and the edges are frayed
it's a "stain magnet" too impossible to keep clean
The fabric finish as I thought was a terrible idea

I do find it a little heavy as at 83 it would not be fair for me to say it was heavy as it is not to my daughter or grandson. I do like having it as it is the first time for me to use one so as you can imagine it is a little strange to me as I have only used my desk top. My first intension was to use it to take photographs, but as I am getting more used to it I use it before I get to my computer. Like most people of my age the technology of today is amazing. I like to think I can get involved in a small way. I have many friends that do not use a computer but as I have a daughter abroad and a grandson available to help me I am grateful.

After buying a fire tablet I needed a cover for it. I come upon this case first but passed it off due to the high cost price.
The following day after receiving my tablet I received a 20% discount code for
accessories, hence I got this case cheaper (so is worth waiting for the email code).
The case is great. Matching colour to go with tablet.
Tablet fitted in easily.
A few people had stated they struggle to set the case for it to stand. I'm unsure how I managed it first time round it's straight forward.
I just brought it to protect it once I'm done with it at home. I haven't took it out with me yet so I don't how the case will last out and about.
But overall this is the best and only case you should get for your tablet.

I have been a long term champion of Kindle tablets and had one of the first from Amazon in 2012. In Dec 2018 I decided to upgrade to a Fire HD 8 as my old one was no longer suported by many apps. My new Fire HD 8 was lovely, clear screen, good speed and perfect for streaming films and TV and downloading books, I read lots of books.
I was most upset when the other morning my Fire HD8 decided it didnt want to turn on, I charged it and tried again - nothing. this went on for several days with different leads, plugs, sockets and each time nothing. I found out hot to do a soft reboot which worked but still nothing. I have looked for support from Amaxon but nothing readily available. I am now miffed as the kindle HD 8 wasnt cheap and I cannot afford to purchase another one nor am i desperate to if they dont last - £90 every 18 months is an expensive hobby in my opinion. My old Kindle Fire lasted 6 years and never missed a beat, ive dusted it off again and it still works for book reading, nothing else tho. So Amazon if you care about your Kindle owners put up some way to get in touch for some support when your device goes wrong otherwise you may find them leaving you, I am considering it now

This case is brilliant. I chose same colour as my Fire 8 tablet and it is so much better than the pui leather ones. When you open the cover the tablet automatically lights up (providing it is turned on). Easy to clean too, would highly recommend.
